finished the wall letters!
I finished the letters for Jr's wall and they are super cute! :) the J has 2 flies and the R has a cute frog catching the flies. I still am not ecstatic about the way the tongue looks so I might edit that, but as far as how I did it....
I got letters in the dollar section of Target, they were Black and made of Wood.
I then went to JoAnn's and purchased Chocolate Brown acrylic paint and a turquoise glitter acrylic paint, felt in green, yellow, and white, embroider floss in green, 2 buttons for the eyes, red ribbon, craft wire, and black pom-poms.
I painted the letters chocolate brown and allowed them to dry.
I then painted the face of the letters the glittery turquoise, this took quite a few coats as I was trying to cover the brown.
I then drew out a frog pattern on the felt and cut it out. I sewed the eyes and eye buttons on the body. I took the extra felt and placed it inside of the frog as a padding to make him 3-d. I then glued him shut and sewed around the edges and his legs. I then sewed his mouth and his cute little yellow dots for his cheeks. I glued a strand of ribbon for this tongue.
For the flies, I used a small black pom-pom, and a slightly larger black pom-pom. I glued two together to make the body, and then cut out wings from the white felt and glued them on the larger pom-pom. I then took the craft wire and wrapped it around a wooden dowel to make it like a spring. I took and old needle and drilled a little hole in the wooden letter, stuck the tip of the spring in glue and stuck it in the hole. I then glued the fly to the spring. :) I can certainly make better instructions for anyone that wants them so just message me! :)
I hope Jr and Katie like them! :)

Wall Letters for Jr.
Hello!
I am getting ready to venture down to the craft room to start on my gift for my friend Katie's son Jr. He is turning 2, and is so stinkin' cute! I decided I would make some Wall letters for his wall, and since his room is decorated in Frogs I'm going to go from there. I stopped at JoAnn's on my way home from work and got the rest of the stuff that I needed. I will post pics as I go :)

My Mind - My Life: Book Pages Wreath
I am seriously in love with this! I was thinking that I might try it with the white pages of the phone book first and if they are to flimsy go to the thrift store and get a few books, read them, and then make the wreath. :) Thanks for the idea Lizzy Ford! :)

Introductory Blog Post :)
I have tried blogging before...let's see if it will stick this time! :) I am a happily married 26 y/o Ohioan who likes to craft, paint, scrapbook...etc. I have Attention Deficit Disorder, so although I do not lack the ability to think of great ideas, and impulsively buy crafting items, I rarely follow through. I am hoping that if I gain some followers of my blog that I will have the motivation to keep on crafting. :) I am in the process of finishing up my craft room, it is really looking great and I can't wait to find all of the items that I have still packed from ::cough::cough:: ...over 2 years ago since we moved to our home...lol. :) But like the photo states above as long as the items are hidden, my wonderful hubby has no idea how much I really have...haha. :)
My plans for this blog is to post progress on my craft room, post craft ideas and tutorials, and help out any fellow crafters with questions or ideas. I hope you enjoy and I am off to craft!
